Wynona Grilley also known as Wynona Marts, 76 of Dillon, MT, passed away peacefully at her home on May 3rd, 2012. She was born on March 2, 1936 to Samuel and Viola McClain in Blanchard, Oklahoma. She had two children; Michael and Christina in her younger years. The “fiery redhead” as she was known met Ralph “Red” Marts of Lima and she moved to Montana and brought her daughter Christina to come and live with her. Red and Wynona worked hard to provide for their family. Wynona was known as having a fierce personality, her hard work ethic and gentle and kind soul, she was always there for her family. She would give her last dollar to anyone in need. Red had a daughter and son; Patty and Randy. Wynona loved and was proud of her family.
Wynona is survived by her son; Michael Ross, of the Pacific Northwest currently residing in Washington, and Christina currently of Dillon, grandson; Daniel, 3 great grandchildren; step children; Patty Marts and her 3 children; James, Caitlin and William Sloan of Lima and Randy Marts currently serving our country. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter; Jennifer. There is a memorial service scheduled for Saturday, May 12th at 3 PM at the Lima Community Church.
